Terminals at NRT
Narita has three terminals. Terminal 1 is the largest and mainly hosts Star Alliance carriers (ANA and partners); Terminal 2 handles oneworld and many other international airlines; and Terminal 3 is the dedicated low-cost-carrier (LCC) terminal for budget airlines such as Jetstar and Zipair. Terminals 1 and 2 each have their own train station, but Terminal 3 does not — it is reached on foot from Terminal 2 (about a 10-minute signed walk along a coloured track) or by the free inter-terminal shuttle bus. Free shuttle buses loop between all terminals; ride times are roughly 14 minutes T1↔T3, 3 minutes T3↔T2 and 10 minutes T2↔T1, so always confirm your terminal before arriving.

🚆 Getting to & from the airport
Rail is by far the best way in. The Keisei Skyliner runs non-stop to Nippori in 36 minutes and on to Keisei Ueno, at about ¥2,580 at the machine or about ¥2,310 booked online (round-trip online about ¥4,500); at Nippori you transfer to the JR Yamanote loop. The JR Narita Express (N'EX) runs to Tokyo Station, Shinjuku, Shibuya and Yokohama — Tokyo is roughly ¥3,070 and Shinjuku about ¥3,250, with a N'EX Tokyo Round Trip Ticket for foreign visitors around ¥5,000 (fares rose slightly with JR East's March 2026 revision). For the budget-minded, Keisei's slower Access/Limited Express and the flat-fare access buses (such as the ¥1,000-class services to Tokyo Station / Ginza) cost far less. A taxi to central Tokyo is expensive — often ¥20,000-plus and 60–90 minutes.
